A Message from George:
Thank you so much for the activity plan. Yesterday we went on a nature walk and gathered some lichen, dried cone-flower heads, and birch bark to make patterns. We also drew patterns in the sand and George tested himself by underlining the repeats. Then we looked up the difference between moss and lichen. Very cool! George and Lucy both enjoyed the yoga video activity, we all did it together and they wanted more!
Aside from that, George wanted to share pics of the cool ice sheets that had frozen over all the spring melt puddles on the ground.
Also, today we put cuttings from carrots, potatoes, and garlic in water. A root vegetable, a tuber, and a bulb- all grown underground. George instinctively chose those, betting that they would grow roots, over his other options of an apple, an olive, a lemon, and an onion.
We will continue to be in touch,
George, Lucy, and Kristine.

For her STEM activity, she wanted to to have so many different thing is water lol. We settled on a grape, garlic, and green onion. THEN, we added apple seeds, a few beans seeds in a jar. Shes also helping mom garden; plant some veggies and flowers.
